
The beloved Ocala Mother’s Day 5K is returning for its fourth consecutive year on Saturday, May 10th. Organizers are expecting approximately 300 runners to participate in this special event honoring mothers throughout the community.
Event Details
The race will begin in downtown Ocala at 151 SE Osceola Ave, taking participants through the city’s beautiful Historic District before finishing at Citizens Circle. Registration opens at 7:00 am with the race starting promptly at 8:00 am. Awards will be presented at 9:15 am.
Event organizers note that this race has become a wonderful tradition in the Ocala community and offers a perfect way to celebrate mothers while enjoying a healthy activity together.
Special Features
This year’s participants will receive:
- A soft cotton Mother’s Day shirt featuring a touching momma bear and cub design
- Matching bear-themed finisher medals (guaranteed for the first 300 finishers)
- A flower for all mother-aged female competitors as they cross the finish line
- A raffle ticket for multiple drawings (must be present to win)
Defending Champions
Last year’s race saw impressive performances from Albano Dos Reis, who won the men’s division with a time of 17:37, and Emma Luetgert, who took the women’s title with a time of 20:46. Both champions set a high bar for this year’s competitors.

Early bird pricing has ended, but registration remains open:
- Current registration: $40 (plus processing and taxes)
- Race day registration: $50

- Saturday, May 10th: Starting at 7:00 am at the race venue

Important Reminder
The organizers note that while they love furry friends, dogs are not permitted on the race course for safety and insurance reasons. Service animals are exempt from this policy, and leashed dogs are welcome as spectators.
