The fourth annual Concert for Good adds a new event and presenting sponsor!
[OCALA, FLORIDA, November 2024] – Brothers Caleb and Luke Lombardo are bringing back the Concert for Good for a fourth year with a first-ever presenting sponsor and an added event for a whole day of good – a 5K for Good. The two “for Good” events will both be held on December 28, 2024, and be presented by Citizens First Bank.
The Concert was co-founded in 2021 by Caleb (19) and Luke (16) as a part of a family tradition. A tradition that started before the brothers were teens, to find a way to do something for people or a cause they care about around the holidays.
Four years ago, the brothers turned a love for music and their community and their hearts for helping the homeless and teens into a sell-out event – Concert for Good. The December 28 concert will again be held at the Ocala Civic Theatre at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15.
With Caleb now at the United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs), one of the things Luke (a junior at West Port High School) misses are their morning and weekend runs together – enter the 5K for Good.
New to the “for Good” initiative this year is the 5K, which will begin at 7:30 AM at the Baseline Trailhead. Registration for all walkers, joggers, runners, and racers starts at $30 for early bird registrants. The fee will increase as the event nears, so those interested in participating are encouraged to register early.
The 5K and Concert for Good will both raise funds for Brother’s Keeper and the Marion County Children’s Alliance.
The 2024 event will also be Caleb’s first trip home since he left for the Academy in June. He’s looking forward to what he hopes are two opportunities to be amongst the community he loves and misses before heading back out to Colorado Springs to start the spring semester. “It’s a quick trip home, so I am glad that we’re doing these ‘for Good’ events. It brings together my family, friends and so many familiar faces from our community that I can’t wait to see. I can’t believe it will have been six months since I’ve been home!”

The concert will again support two local nonprofits chosen by Caleb and Luke – Brother’s Keeper and the Marion County Children’s Alliance. Brother’s Keeper is a social services ministry of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and the Marion County Children’s Alliance is a wonderful non-profit who has a mission to improve the lives of Marion County children.
A big goal for 2024.
“Last year, Concert for Good raised $28,000 for the two charities bringing the total amount raised for the two causes since 2021 to $56,000,” says Luke. “We would love to break the $30,000 mark this year. I am just super appreciative for everything that comes through this concert and for the opportunity to spend extra time with my brother while he is home. None of this would be possible without the help of our community and our sponsors. We can’t thank them enough.”
Caleb adds, “These events are a community success story. They show the good that God can do through all of us when we commit, and give back what we love, for His glory. That is what all of this is about. That’s why it is all ‘for Good’.”
