Who Owns Crunchies & Munchies?
According to the restaurant's own story, owners Morris and Trish Janey moved to Ocala in 1984 to manage a restaurant for a national chain. Wanting a place of their own, they bought Crunchies & Munchies, a wing shop they had driven past on the way to work, from its earlier owners, who taught them how to make and serve Buffalo wings.
In 2016 the Janeys bought land about a mile and a half from the original northeast spot and built a free-standing restaurant there, and the Baseline Road location followed in 2018. The website says their son Coleson is taking over the business.
