Downtown Ocala square
The blocks around the downtown square hold the densest cluster of independent restaurants in Ocala. All six below are on S Magnolia Ave, SE 1st Ave or W Fort King St, within a couple of blocks of each other in ZIP 34471, so one parking spot covers dinner and a walk afterward.
South Pine Avenue
South of downtown, two of the city's Latin American restaurants sit in the same 2000 block of S Pine Ave: a Brazilian steakhouse and a Latin American kitchen.
SW College Road (SR 200) inside the city
SW College Road is State Road 200. The stretch between S Pine Ave and I-75, around Paddock Mall, is lined with national sit-down chains, with a few more restaurants just off the road on SW 32nd Ave and SW 42nd St.
Market Street at Heath Brook
Market Street at Heath Brook is the shopping center at 4414 SW College Rd, by I-75. SR 200 southwest, near On Top of the World

Ocala Jesus Fest, the fifth annual free outdoor worship festival, takes place Sunday, November 1, 2026, on the Reilly Arts Center's outdoor stage in Tuscawilla Park, 500 NE 9th St. in Ocala, with gates opening at 2:30 p.m. Organizers The Roomsliving and FCA moved the festival to November 1 from its original October 11 date, and AdventHealth Ocala is the presenting sponsor. The afternoon includes live worship, live baptisms, food trucks and giveaways, and the organizers say 500 free T-shirts go to the first people through the gates. Admission is free.
GNO Events brings Girls Night Out: Gone Wild to the Ocala Downtown Market, 403 SE Osceola Ave. in downtown Ocala, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m. The animal-print themed night market gathers nearly 100 Central Florida women-owned businesses selling boutique fashion, handmade jewelry, home decor, sweet treats and body care, with DJ Rae Bae, a free photo booth by Legacy Rhythm Entertainment and raffle giveaways. Food trucks, cocktails and mocktails are on site, along with on-site experiences such as permanent jewelry, fairy hair, chair massages, hat bars and henna tattoos. Admission is free and open to the public, and the event runs rain or shine.
Neat Streak Events hosts Twilight & Trinkets, an evening market, on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Ocala Downtown Market, 403 SE Osceola Ave. in downtown Ocala. It is the first event of the organizer's inaugural season and brings together local small-business vendors selling crafts, trinkets and one-of-a-kind finds, plus local food trucks. Veterinary staff from the Florida International Teaching Zoo hold a low-cost pet vaccination clinic at the Ocala Downtown Market, 403 SE Osceola Ave. in downtown Ocala, on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. The clinic runs on the second Saturday of each month during the Saturday market.
