The annual Eighth Street Elementary Tradition Trot supports the school's PTO with a 5K run/walk and 1-Mile Fun Run through Ocala's historic downtown. The race starts and finishes at Ocala Citizens' Circle on SE Osceola Ave, taking participants on a scenic route through the Historic District. 5K participants receive race t-shirts (if registered by January 15), age group awards, and goodie bags. The 1-mile fun run includes placement awards across multiple age categories. Packet pickup begins at 7:00 AM on race day.
