What Is District Bar & Kitchen?

District Bar & Kitchen is a restaurant, bar and sports-watching spot at 110 SW Broadway St in downtown Ocala. Its own tagline is "More Sports. More Drinks. More Good Times." The restaurant says nearly everything on its menu is made from scratch in-house, and it serves lunch, dinner and a Saturday and Sunday brunch.

The beef comes from Ft. McCoy Beef, a Marion County farm, and goes into the restaurant's signature brisket and beef blend. The District Burger uses two quarter-pound smash patties of that blend with American cheese, caramelized onions and roasted garlic aioli on a brioche bun. The Motor City pizza section offers Detroit-style pizzas such as The Big Cheese, Classic Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken and The Butcher Block. Dinner entrees include steak frites, steak lo mein, bourbon salmon and chorizo shrimp and grits, and starters include poke tuna nachos, Fort McCoy meatballs and Philly cheesesteak egg rolls.

Weekend brunch runs from 11 AM to 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday, with plates such as chorizo shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, Super French Toast and a deep-fried PB&J. The restaurant also advertises a weekday happy hour and rents a private room for corporate functions, birthdays and showers.

In the evening, District promotes live music from local and touring artists under the name DBK After Dark, along with large TVs for games and a rooftop terrace with views of downtown Ocala.
