The E.D. Croskey Recreation Center is a City of Ocala-operated community facility that provides free programming and fitness resources to residents of all ages. The center's Fitness Zone is one of Ocala's best-kept secrets — a free gym available to anyone 14 and older, featuring cardio machines, free weights, and a Smith machine. For a city where gym memberships can run $30-50+ per month, the Croskey Center provides a legitimate no-cost alternative for residents looking to stay active. Youth ages 10 and up may use the facility when accompanied by an adult guardian.

Youth programming is a cornerstone of the center.
