Belleview Middle swept the top four spots in the middle school girls' 3K and Trinity Catholic won both high school team titles at the Wildwood Invitational on Sept. 12, while Belleview's Asher Inman placed fifth of 203 at the Buchholz Bobcats Classic.

Christopher Taylor, 15, won the 5th Annual Retro Run 5K in 18:48.9 the night after racing at Cecil Field. Lauren Godwin led the women among 180 finishers.

Owen Plotner and Twyla Martin, both Belleview Middle School runners, won the 2nd Annual Ocala Kids Run as 133 children ages 3-14 finished at the Baseline Road Trailhead.

Rock The Country brings Brooks & Dunn and Blake Shelton to the Florida Horse Park, plus a free John Travolta screening, two Reilly shows and a kids run.

Collin Moore — an Ocala high school junior heading into his senior year this August — splits his time between running, school, a family epoxy flooring business, his girlfriend, and a fishing rod somewhere on Florida's east coast. On May 31, 2026, he added one more thing to the list: a 2:43:46 marathon debut at the Carmel Marathon in Indiana that broke the age-group course record and earned him a Boston Marathon qualifier at 17.

Luke Lombardo — the West Port senior heading to Furman University in the fall on an academic scholarship — crossed the Mother's Day 5K finish line first in 15:46. Christopher Taylor took second in 17:11 to extend his lead in the Run Ocala Race Series, and Gosia Hightower of Belleview was top female overall in 21:47.
