Sholom Park hosts "Tree Communication – Mother Tree," part of its L.E.A.F. Series, on Friday, November 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the park, 7110 SW 80th Avenue in Ocala. Presented by Maxine Hunter of UF/IFAS, the program explores the idea that a forest is not thousands of independent trees competing with one another but a living community of trees, fungi, bacteria and soil, with relationships that can be cooperative and competitive. The fee is $10 for members and the general public. Space is limited and advance registration is required through the park's education partner, Master the Possibilities (course LEA103).
All event times are in Eastern Time (EDT)
