This page lists a win only when a Florida Lottery press release names an Ocala or Marion County winner city or retailer. Three such releases were published in 2026: a $5 million Scratch-Off prize sold in Ocala, a $10 million Powerball prize claimed by an Ocklawaha man and a $1 million Scratch-Off prize won by an Ocala woman. Each row below links to the Lottery's release, and every figure is the Lottery's. Last checked Nov. 2, 2026.

Why the Newest Local Wins Are Not Listed Here

The Lottery announces winners after a prize is claimed, and the 2026 Ocala-area releases came about three to four months after the claim date, between 99 and 130 days by the dates in the releases. The Lottery does not say why each release came when it did. Its Winner's Guide states that a winner's full name, city of residence, game, date, amount and the name and location of the retailer are public record, and that the names of winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or greater are temporarily exempt from public disclosure for 90 days from the claim date unless the winner waives it. The roundup releases add that names and cities may be released after 90 days.

This page therefore waits for a Lottery release before listing a local win, and it is updated as new releases are published.

The office used for Ocala claims

The Lottery lists no district office in Marion County. The one Ocala claim in the 2026 releases that was made at a District Office, and the April 2025 claim, were both made at the Gainesville District Office, Butler Plaza, 3926 Southwest Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608, (352) 334-3880, open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Call before driving: hours and appointment rules are the Lottery's and can change.

Claim deadline and paperwork

The Lottery says a Scratch-Off prize must be claimed within 60 days after the end of the game, and a Draw Game prize within 180 days after the draw date. A mailed claim must be postmarked by those dates. A prize of $600 or more needs the Winner Claim Form and identification that is current or was issued within the past five years and bears a serial or other identifying number. The Lottery advises signing a ticket as soon as it is bought, and says it cannot look up or track down a lost ticket.

Prizes with a choice between annual payments and a one-time cash option have a 60-day cash option election period, and the Lottery says the choice is final once made. It also says federal tax is withheld at 24 percent on prizes over $5,000 when the winner provides a valid Social Security number, and that winnings of $2,000 and above are reported to the IRS. Full details are in the Lottery's Winner's Guide.
