The Marion Oaks Community Center is the recreation hub of Marion Oaks, a large subdivision in south Marion County. It is run by Marion County's Marion Oaks Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU) for Recreation, which the county commission created in 1988 and which is paid for by per-lot assessments on Marion Oaks property. The county's MSTU/Assessment office manages it with a citizen advisory board of five Marion Oaks residents appointed by the county commission.
The campus at 294 Marion Oaks Lane has the community center and an annex building indoors, and courts, a walking trail, and a splash pad outside; that outdoor side is covered on our Marion Oaks Park page. Auditorium
Seats up to 450 in chairs only or 250 at tables. Commercial kitchen (12-burner stove, double oven, ice machine, large refrigerator and freezer), a stage with microphone and sound system, separate dressing rooms, and a 50-by-50-foot parquet dance floor.
Meeting & Craft Rooms
Meeting rooms for up to 49 guests with sinks, counter space, tables and chairs, and an exterior door for loading, plus an arts and crafts room.
Fitness Room
An updated fitness room, along with weekly exercise and fitness programs.
Family Youth Room & Toddler Room
Video game consoles, a foosball table, an air hockey table, and table tennis, plus a separate toddler room.
Courts, Trail & Splash Pad
Outside: basketball, tennis, volleyball, and pickleball courts, a walking trail, and one of the few aquatic splash pads in Marion County.
Marion Oaks Public Library
A branch of the Marion County Public Library System in the same building (352-438-2570), open Mon–Fri 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sat 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Private Event Rentals
The auditorium is often used for weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, public meetings, and receptions. Meeting rooms suit smaller gatherings such as birthday parties and baby showers, and the large pavilion (about 24 by 24 feet, two fixed picnic tables and two outlets; bring your own seating) works for outdoor parties.
