Nestled along County Road 484 in the heart of Belleview, Manny's Ice Cream has inherited one of Marion County's most cherished culinary legacies. The shop occupies the beloved pink house that generations of local families and visitors recognized as the home of Ms. Steve's Ice Cream, an iconic establishment that served the community for decades before transitioning to new ownership in 2025. Under Manny's stewardship, the tradition continues — the same welcoming location, the same spirit of sweet indulgence, and a renewed commitment to being a neighborhood institution in the truest sense. The pink house is more than a building. It's a landmark. For anyone who has grown up in south Marion County, the sight of that distinctive exterior has long been associated with warm weather, family outings, and the particular pleasure of soft-serve ice cream on a Florida afternoon. Manny's Ice Cream has embraced this heritage, maintaining the visual identity and community warmth that made Ms. Steve's a Belleview fixture while bringing fresh energy to a beloved address. The menu centers on what an ice cream stand does best: soft-serve ice cream in a variety of flavors, generous milkshakes, and frozen treats that hit the spot in Florida's year-round warm climate. Walk-up and drive-thru service options make the experience accessible for every kind of visit, whether you're stopping in on a quick lunch break or treating the whole family to a leisurely evening dessert run. The simplicity of the offering is part of the appeal — this is a place that knows what it does and does it well. Belleview is one of Marion County's most established communities, located along the US-441 corridor south of Ocala. The city has its own distinct character, with a strong sense of local pride and a community fabric built around long-time residents who value quality of life. Manny's Ice Cream fits naturally into this landscape, serving as a gathering point for Belleview locals and a worthwhile destination for Ocala visitors exploring the broader Marion County experience. The shop is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM — a generous schedule that makes it easy to incorporate an ice cream visit into virtually any day's plans. The extended evening hours are particularly welcome in Florida, where the heat of the day often lingers well into the late afternoon, making an evening ice cream run practically essential. For families with children, Manny's Ice Cream represents the kind of uncomplicated, joyful local experience that creates lasting memories. In an era when authentic neighborhood institutions are increasingly rare, the continued operation of this pink house ice cream stand on CR 484 is something worth celebrating — and worth a special trip from anywhere in south Marion County.
