Marion Oaks Park & Community Center

Courts, a walking trail and a splash pad on the Marion Oaks Community Center grounds in south Marion County

Marion Oaks' park facilities are the grounds of the Marion Oaks Community Center, 294 Marion Oaks Lane, Ocala, FL 34473. They include basketball, tennis, volleyball, and pickleball courts, a walking trail, and an aquatic splash pad; the center has an auditorium, meeting rooms, a fitness room, a family youth room, and the Marion Oaks Public Library. Both are run by Marion County's Marion Oaks MSTU for Recreation for Marion Oaks residents and property owners. Phone: (352) 438-2830; call for current hours.

How the Park and the Community Center Fit Together

Marion Oaks is a large subdivision in south Marion County; the county counts about 26,000 parcels in its recreation taxing unit. Its recreation is paid for by Marion Oaks property owners through the Marion Oaks Municipal Services Taxing Unit (MSTU) for Recreation, which the county commission created in 1988.

The MSTU runs one campus at 294 Marion Oaks Lane: the community center and an annex building indoors, and courts, a walking trail, and a splash pad outside. When people search for “Marion Oaks Park,” these grounds are what they find; the county's Parks & Recreation directory does not list a separate park by that name. For the indoor side, see our Marion Oaks Community Center guide.

The facilities are managed by Marion County's MSTU/Assessment office with a citizen advisory board of five Marion Oaks residents appointed by the county commission. The Marion Oaks Public Library, part of the Marion County Public Library System, shares the address.
