Generation Academy of Ocala is the renamed First Assembly Christian School. Generation Church, an Assemblies of God congregation at the same NE 14th Street address, describes the academy as one of its ministries, and some map listings still show the old school name.
The early childhood side takes infants, two toddler groups and a preschool class for 3- and 4-year-olds, and VPK is free. The admissions page posts weekly rates for each age, which makes it one of the few church programs in Ocala where parents can compare price before calling. Wrap-around care is available around the VPK day.
With a capacity of 467 children on its state record, Generation has the largest capacity of any program in this guide. It also takes School Readiness families and operates under Florida's religious exemption, so it is not licensed by DCF.
Before you visit
Call ahead to ask about openings for your child's age, the current tuition and registration fees, and how faith is part of the day. If you plan to use VPK, apply for a Certificate of Eligibility through the Early Learning Coalition of Marion County before you enroll; the provider needs it to hold a VPK seat. Our tour checklist covers ratios, staff screening, safety and pickup rules.
