Loving Care Preschool is a half-day program run by Maricamp Road Church of Christ in southeast Ocala. Its director has been part of the congregation since 1987, and the school is accredited by the Florida League of Christian Schools as a "School of Excellence."
Children drop off at 8:30 a.m. and go home at noon, or stay until 1:30 with extended care. It serves ages 1 to 5, with two- to five-day schedules, and describes itself as a kindergarten readiness program. It does not offer free VPK, so families who want VPK hours for a 4-year-old will need another provider.
Tuition is posted on the church site, which is unusual in Ocala: a five-day class for 2- to 5-year-olds is $365 a month and a four-day class for 1-year-olds is $335 a month, with a $60 registration fee.
