Update: In 2026, the City of Ocala is not hosting its annual "Patriotic Skies" July 4th celebration. Instead, Marion County's America 250 initiative is hosting the Independence Day Fireworks Celebration at four simultaneous locations across the county.

2026 Marion County Independence Day Fireworks Celebration

  • Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026

  • Festivities: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Fireworks: 9:00 PM (simultaneous at all four sites)

  • Admission: FREE

  • Hosted by: Marion County (Marion Celebrating America's 250th)

Four Fireworks Locations

Marion County is hosting synchronized fireworks at four locations so residents across the county can celebrate close to home:

  • Wrigley Fields — 405 E. Highway 316, Citra, FL 32113

  • Veterans Memorial Park — 2601 E Fort King St, Ocala, FL 34470

  • Dunnellon High School — 10055 SW 180th Ave Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34432

  • Belleview Sportsplex — 6501 SE 107th St, Belleview, FL 34420

What to Expect

All four locations will feature food trucks, vendors, and live music starting at 5:00 PM. At 9:00 PM, synchronized professional fireworks displays will light up the sky across Marion County as part of the largest Independence Day celebration in the county's history.

This event is part of the broader Marion Celebrating America's 250th initiative, a year-long countywide celebration of the United States semiquincentennial.

What About Patriotic Skies?

The City of Ocala's annual "Patriotic Skies" celebration at Tuscawilla Park is not being held in 2026. The Independence Day fireworks celebration is instead being hosted by Marion County through the Marion Celebrating America's 250th initiative. For the Ocala area, Veterans Memorial Park (2601 E Fort King St) is the designated fireworks location.

Tips for Attending

  • Bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and sunscreen

  • Arrive early for parking — all four locations will draw large crowds

  • Fireworks that explode or leave the ground are prohibited by law

  • Wear comfortable shoes and bring bug spray

  • Cash recommended for food truck vendors
