Every Fourth of July, Ocala gathers at Tuscawilla Park for one of the best free Independence Day celebrations in North Central Florida. Patriotic Skies — presented by Ocala Main Street — features live music, a Kids Zone, local food trucks, and a fireworks display that lights up the sky over downtown. Here's everything you need to know.

The Main Event: Patriotic Skies at Tuscawilla Park

  • Date: July 4th annually

  • Location: Tuscawilla Park, 800 NE Sanchez Ave, Ocala, FL

  • Hours: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Fireworks: Begin at 9:30 PM

  • Admission: FREE

  • Presented by: Ocala Main Street

What's Included

The celebration runs from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM with live entertainment beginning at the opening. A DJ and live bands perform from 6:00 PM to 9:15 PM, keeping the energy high as the crowd gathers and the sun goes down. At 9:30 PM, the fireworks show begins over Tuscawilla Park — a professional display that has grown in quality year after year.

The Kids Zone features games and activities specifically designed for younger attendees, and local food trucks line the park serving everything from classic American fare to more creative options. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for the best viewing experience — coolers are allowed on site.

Free Shuttle Service

Free shuttle service runs from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM from multiple pickup locations:

  • Marion Technical Institute

  • E.D. Croskey Recreation Center

  • Ocala City Hall

  • Marion County Parking Facility

Taking the free shuttle eliminates the parking headache entirely — highly recommended for families with young children or those who want to enjoy the full celebration without worrying about leaving early to beat traffic.

What to Bring and Know
