Chick-fil-A Inc. now owns a 2.38-acre parcel at 4639 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in Ocala. The Marion County Property Appraiser's record for parcel 24246-002-00 shows a special warranty deed recorded in September 2026 for $1,800,000, Official Records Book 9016, Page 137, coded as a qualified sale of vacant land. The owner of record is Chick-fil-A Inc. at the company's Atlanta headquarters address.

That is a land purchase, not a restaurant announcement. Chick-fil-A has not said what it plans for the site, and the parcel's permit history on the Property Appraiser's record lists no restaurant building permit as of Oct. 18, 2026. Only In Ocala found no site plan for the parcel on the City of Ocala's public agenda system.

  • Size: 2.38 acres, zoned B-4 (General Business) per the appraiser's land data

  • Sale: September 2026, special warranty deed, $1,800,000, Book 9016, Page 137

The parcel's past permits are temporary ones from 2017 through 2024, most of them for seasonal fireworks tents. The appraiser lists a parent parcel, 24246-001-00, and earlier transfers from 2010 through January 2026 that it codes as partial or undivided interests, most recorded at $100.

What Is Not Known

Chick-fil-A has not filed anything public that says what the land is for. Any new restaurant inside the city would need site plan review and building permits from the City of Ocala, and those filings would be the first public sign of what Chick-fil-A intends. Only In Ocala will update this report if they appear.
