Potbelly Opens First Marion County Shop at Corta Commons on SR 200, Grand Opening Oct. 24

Potbelly is now open in Ocala. The sandwich chain opened its Corta Commons shop at 8424 SW State Road 200, Ocala, FL 34481 on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, its first location in Marion County, according to Potbelly Corporation's Oct. 14 press release. A grand opening celebration is set for Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, and the company says the first 50 people in line will win Free Potbelly for a Year.

The shop is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day and its phone number is (352) 632-8901, according to Potbelly's location page. The same address, phone and hours appear on the shop's Google Business Profile, which Only In Ocala checked Oct. 18.

Grand Opening on Saturday, Oct. 24

Potbelly will hold its grand opening at the Corta Commons shop on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon. The release says the first 50 people in line will win Free Potbelly for a Year, and that a ribbon cutting and other festivities will be open to everyone who comes. The release does not say when the line may form or how the prize is redeemed.

The same Saturday, downtown Ocala hosts the first day of the Ocala Arts Festival, which runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. That leaves time for a morning on SR 200 and an afternoon downtown.

Where the Shop Is

The shop is in the Shoppes of Corta Commons, which Potbelly describes as a growing, Sprouts-anchored, mixed-use center along the State Road 200 corridor in southwest Ocala, with retail, dining and housing development around it. What Is on the Menu

Potbelly says the Corta Commons shop serves the brand's standard lineup: toasted sandwiches and wraps, fresh salads, hand-dipped shakes and freshly baked cookies. Guests can order ahead or place catering orders through Potbelly.com or the Potbelly app. The location page lists in-shop pickup, and the company says delivery is available through Potbelly and participating third-party services. Potbelly also promotes its Potbelly Perks rewards program, which offers members free sandwiches, cookies and other deals.

Who Owns It

The Ocala shop is a franchise run by Danish Alidino, a multi-unit restaurant operator, and his partners at Deli Management LLC, who run several restaurant concepts in Central Florida, according to the release. Alidino opened his first Potbelly in Lady Lake in 2025. In the release, he said he has been part of the Ocala restaurant community for years and wants the shop to "feel like part of the neighborhood from day one."

More Potbelly Planned in Florida

Potbelly says it has more than 15 shops operating in Florida and more than 80 under development agreements across the state. The markets it names include Tampa, Sarasota-Bradenton, Fort Myers-Naples, Broward County, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Gainesville, Ocala and Panama City Beach. The company did not say where or when any additional Ocala shops would open.
