The On Top of the World Concert Chorus will present "We the People," a musical celebration of America's 250th anniversary, at the Circle Square Cultural Center on April 12 and 13, 2026. The two performances feature 105 voices performing a wide-ranging program of American music.
The program covers the breadth of the American songbook. From patriotic standards to country, rock, spirituals, Dixieland, and Broadway, "We the People" traces the nation's musical heritage across 250 years. The concert includes a military tribute segment featuring the Marion County Memorial Honor Guard, connecting the performance directly to the service members and veterans who have shaped the country's history.
The Concert Chorus, based in the On Top of the World retirement community in southwest Ocala, has built a reputation for ambitious community performances. At 105 members, the ensemble is one of the largest volunteer choral groups in Marion County.
Beyond the music, the event serves a charitable purpose. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, toiletries, and warm socks to benefit local veterans. The donation drive connects the patriotic theme of the concert to direct community support for those who have served.
