Planet Obstacle Adventure Park: Lake Mary Guide for Ocala Families
Planet Obstacle is not in Ocala. Its flagship indoor obstacle park is in Lake Mary, Seminole County, about 75 miles southeast of Ocala. This guide covers what is inside, hours, pass prices as posted, the sock and age rules, how to get there, and when staying in Marion County makes more sense.
Planet Obstacle - Adventure Park is an indoor obstacle park at 1150 Emma Oaks Trail, #100, Lake Mary, FL 32746, about 75 miles and roughly an hour and a half to two hours from Ocala. It has a two-level aerial ropes course with a 220-foot zip line, climbing walls, trampolines, bumper cars and a kids ninja playground. Day passes are posted at $26.95 weekdays and $30.95 weekends (cash or debit), park grip socks are required, and the minimum age for a wristband is 3. Phone: (407) 233-3750.
Is Planet Obstacle Adventure Park in Ocala?
No. Planet Obstacle has two Central Florida parks and neither is in Marion County. The original park, which the company calls its flagship, opened in 2017 at 1150 Emma Oaks Trail, #100, Lake Mary, FL 32746, just north of Orlando in Seminole County. A second park opened in November 2024 at 1981 Ernie Caldwell Blvd #600, Davenport, FL 33837, near Posner Park in Polk County. For anyone starting in Ocala, Lake Mary is the closer of the two.
The company describes the Lake Mary park as more than 50,000 square feet of attractions and bills it as the world's largest indoor obstacle park, a claim it makes on its own site without naming a source. The concept was developed by two former Cirque du Soleil performers, which explains the emphasis on aerial ropes, zip lines and climbing rather than trampolines alone. Google lists the business as "Planet Obstacle - Adventure Park," which is where the "adventure park" search phrase comes from.
Marion County has no equivalent single venue. Ocala's closest match for the trampoline side is Sky Zone Ocala, and the rest of the county's indoor options are collected in the indoor activities guide and the rainy day activities guide. The sections below lay out what the Lake Mary park offers so families can decide whether the drive is worth it.
What Is Inside the Lake Mary Planet Obstacle Park?
The attractions, age ranges and height and weight limits below are as listed on the park's official attractions and rules pages. Planet Obstacle notes that rules vary by attraction and that posted signage takes precedence, so the figures here are a planning guide, not a guarantee of entry.
Two-Level Aerial Ropes Course + Zip Line
The headline attraction. The zip line is 220 feet long. Weight limit up to 250 lbs; the bottom level is for guests 45 to 54 inches tall and the top level for 55 inches and up. Closed-toe shoes required.
Kids Ropes Course
A lower course for climbers ages 3 and up who are 34 to 47 inches tall, built for balance and confidence before the full course.
Climbing Walls and Spider Wall
Rock-climbing walls for ages 3 and up with a 25 to 250 lb weight range. The Lake Mary park adds a 26-foot Spider Wall on auto belay.
Trampoline Park and V-Trampoline Bungee
Wall-to-wall trampolines for ages 3 and up. The V-Trampoline Bungee is a Lake Mary exclusive with a 20 to 200 lb range. Park grip socks required.
Bumper Cars
Lake Mary only. Ages 3 and up; drivers must be 48 inches or taller, and children under 48 inches ride free with a parent who drives. Closed-toe shoes required.
Inflatable Obstacle Course, Kids Ninja Playground, Arcade and Toddler Area
The inflatable course and Kids Ninja Playground are for ages 3 and up (park grip socks required). The arcade is open to all ages. A gated Toddler Area serves the youngest children, and the Sky Cafe handles food since outside food and drink are not permitted.
Not at Lake Mary: the harness-free zip line is listed for the Davenport park only.

Rules Visitors From Ocala Should Know Before Leaving Home
- Waiver: every participant needs a signed waiver, and anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian to sign. The waiver is electronic and linked from the park's site, so it can be done from Ocala before the drive.
- Minimum age: 3 for a play wristband. Children under 3 can use the gated Toddler Area for $5, per the park FAQ.
- Socks and shoes: Planet Obstacle grip socks are required on trampolines, inflatables and the Ninja Playground; socks from other parks are not accepted. Closed-toe shoes are required for Bumper Cars and the Ropes Course, so pack sneakers.
- Re-entry: allowed only with All Day Play passes, not 2-Hour Play passes. Check out at the front desk before leaving and back in on return.
- Food: outside food and drink are not permitted. The Sky Cafe sells pizza, chicken tenders, burgers, hot dogs, fries and drinks. Birthday groups may bring cake, cupcakes, cookies, donuts, ice cream and goody bags.
- Spectators and lockers: non-participating guests enter free, and lockers are free with a small travel lock (bring one or buy one on site).
Birthday packages come in 2-hour and All Day Play versions with party host assistance, balloons and table decorations, setup and cleanup, and all packages except the no-food "Jupiter" option include three 14-inch pizzas. The park also runs field trips, team building, summer camp and memberships; details and booking are on the official site.
How Far Is Planet Obstacle From Ocala?
The Lake Mary park is about 75 miles by road from downtown Ocala, and the drive runs roughly an hour and a half to two hours each way depending on the route and I-4 traffic. The most direct routing leaves Ocala on US 441 through Belleview, follows county roads across Lake County to SR 44 and CR 46A, joins the Wekiva Parkway (SR 429, tolled) and then I-4 eastbound for the final two miles. A longer but simpler alternative is I-75 south to Florida's Turnpike, then SR 429 north to I-4.
Either way the finish is the same: exit I-4 at West Lake Mary Boulevard, turn onto Lake Emma Road, and then onto Emma Oaks Trail, where the park occupies suite #100. Budget for the SR 429 toll if that route is used, and remember that the Tuesday-through-Friday schedule only opens at 4 PM, so a weekday trip from Ocala means an evening return.
Is It Worth the Drive?
For a full day of play, a birthday outing or a washed-out weekend, yes: the aerial ropes course, 220-foot zip line, Spider Wall and bumper cars are things no Marion County venue offers, and the all-day passes allow re-entry so a group can break for the Sky Cafe or step outside. Weekend and holiday passes cost more than weekday passes, so a Monday or a school-break weekday is the cheapest full-day option under the posted schedule.
For an hour or two of jumping, the three-to-four-hour round trip does not pay off. In that case the local options below are the better call, and families who still want a longer outing can pair Planet Obstacle with the other stops in the family day trips from Ocala guide or the theme parks and attractions near Ocala guide.

Planet Obstacle Questions From Ocala Families
Is Planet Obstacle in Ocala?
No. Planet Obstacle has no Ocala or Marion County location. Its original park is at 1150 Emma Oaks Trail, #100, Lake Mary, FL 32746, in Seminole County north of Orlando, and a second park opened in Davenport (Polk County) in November 2024. From downtown Ocala the Lake Mary park is about 75 miles by road, roughly an hour and a half to two hours each way depending on route and traffic.
What are the Planet Obstacle Lake Mary hours?
The Lake Mary page on planetobstacle.com and the park's Google Business Profile both list Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM, Monday 11 AM to 8 PM, Tuesday through Friday 4 PM to 9 PM, and Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM. Weekday afternoons and evenings only during the school year is the pattern to plan around; call (407) 233-3750 before making the drive from Ocala, especially around school holidays.
How much does Planet Obstacle cost?
As posted on planetobstacle.com in October 2026, a Weekday Pass is $26.95 cash or debit ($27.76 by credit card), a Weekend/Holiday Pass is $30.95 ($31.88 credit), Saturday 6 to 9 PM and Sunday 5 to 8 PM Evening Passes are $26.95 ($27.76 credit), and a Last Hour Play Pass is $21.95 ($22.61 credit). A Parent Pass is 50 percent off a child pass when bought with a regular pass for a child 17 or under. Planet Obstacle grip socks are required and sold separately. Prices change; the pricing page on the official site is the source of record.
What is the minimum age at Planet Obstacle?
The minimum age to receive a play wristband is 3, and the park describes itself as designed for ages 3 and up. Children under 3 can use a gated Toddler Area for $5, as posted in the park FAQ. Every participant needs a signed waiver, and guests under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to sign it. Non-participating adults may enter free.
Do you need special socks at Planet Obstacle?
Yes. Planet Obstacle anti-slip grip socks are required on the trampolines, inflatables and the Ninja Playground. Socks from other trampoline parks are not accepted and regular socks are not allowed on the attractions. Closed-toe shoes are required for the Bumper Cars and the Ropes Course, so visitors from Ocala should bring sneakers as well as buying the park socks.
What attractions does the Lake Mary Planet Obstacle have?
The official attractions page lists a two-level aerial ropes course with a 220-foot zip line, a kids ropes course, climbing walls including a 26-foot Spider Wall with auto belay, a wall-to-wall trampoline park, an inflatable obstacle course, a Kids Ninja Playground, Bumper Cars, a V-Trampoline Bungee, arcade games, a toddler area and the Sky Cafe. Height and weight limits apply to several attractions and posted signage takes precedence.
Is Planet Obstacle worth the drive from Ocala?
It depends on how long the group will play. The round trip from Ocala is roughly three to four hours of driving, so the park makes the most sense as a full-day outing, a rainy-day escape or a birthday trip where children will use the ropes course, zip line and bumper cars that Ocala does not have. For an hour or two of jumping, Sky Zone Ocala on SW College Road and the other indoor venues in Marion County are the practical choice.
What indoor adventure options are in Ocala itself?
Ocala has Sky Zone Ocala for trampolines, Bounce N Play for an indoor playground, Huddy's Escape for escape rooms, Easy Street Family Fun Center for go-karts and arcade games, Lucky Strike (formerly Bowlero) for bowling, and Jerry's Indoor Archery for an indoor range. None combines a ropes course, zip line and bumper cars the way Planet Obstacle does, but together they cover most rainy days without leaving Marion County.
