Each holiday season, World Equestrian Center in Ocala transforms its Grand Plaza into a massive Christmas light display officially called Winter Wonderland. Locals and visitors throughout Central Florida know it simply as the WEC Christmas Spectacular, and it has quickly become one of Marion County's signature holiday traditions.
The event blankets the 378-acre equestrian facility with over four million lights, creating an immersive holiday atmosphere unlike anything else in the Ocala area. Beyond the lights, the event features character meet-and-greets with Santa Claus and the Grinch, live weekend entertainment, holiday food vendors, and pop-up shopping—all set against the stunning backdrop of one of the world's largest equestrian venues.

Tips for Visiting the WEC Christmas Lights
Visit on a Weeknight
Wednesday and Thursday evenings draw smaller crowds and cost less. You get the same light displays without the weekend rush.
Buy Tickets in Advance
In 2026, advance tickets are $2-$3 cheaper than day-of pricing. Buy through the official WEC Winter Wonderland page.
Know the Ticket Window
Winter Wonderland admission is required on the plaza from 3 p.m., and the lights turn on at 5 p.m. Arriving around 5 lets you see the lights come on.
Wear Layers
Florida evenings in November and December can dip into the 40s-50s. Dress in warm layers you can adjust as you walk.
Bring a Good Camera
