What Arts & Culture Are Available in Ocala, Florida?

The Appleton Museum of Art presents an exhibition featuring the expressive artwork of Gladys Shafran Kashdin (1921–2014). The collection blends organic natural elements with recurring artistic themes, weaving together imagery, color, and form in a celebration of creative vision. Kashdin's distinctive style draws from the natural world and human experience, offering visitors a window into the prolific career of a Florida artist whose works span decades of artistic exploration.

The eighth annual Appleton Studio Art Showcase displays work created by adults and children enrolled in the Appleton Museum of Art's studio arts programs and classes. This annual exhibition highlights the creative achievements of community members who have participated in the museum's education programs throughout the year, celebrating the breadth of artistic skill developed through instruction in painting, drawing, sculpture, and other media.
