What Will the Hotel Have?
HDG Legacy's project page says the hotel will include about 3,000 square feet of meeting space, Barker's Speakeasy, Bellissimo's, which it describes as an authentic Italian restaurant, a rooftop bar overlooking Broadway Street and the downtown square, and the AC Lounge and Bar on the first floor.
The general contractor's project page describes a six-story, 130,000-square-foot, total precast building with 176 guest rooms, an AC bar and lounge, and a full-service sixth-floor restaurant and speakeasy. It calls the project an urban infill development.
Where Is It Being Built?
City records place the project at 210 W Silver Springs Blvd. According to the City of Ocala staff report for the agreement, the property sits in the Downtown CRA subarea, was acquired in 2023 and previously held a repair garage that was demolished. The hotel site is on the block north of the city's new parking garage site, which the agreement describes as property historically used by Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
What Did the City Agree To?
On Aug. 19, 2025, the Ocala City Council and the Community Redevelopment Area Agency Board approved a redevelopment agreement for "Project Hometown" with Domach, LLC. The agreement requires the developer to spend at least $56,196,441 and caps total city incentives at $5,619,644, one-tenth of that amount. The city's incentives summary breaks that into a $500,000 grant, about $2.63 million in tax-increment payments, about $1.62 million in parking value, $559,323 in street improvements, $199,686 in building permit, site plan review and fire impact fees and $108,000 toward a garage elevator.
The project as approved is a six-story, 176-room hotel with a sixth-floor restaurant and bar, a first-floor bar and lounge, Class-A office space, meeting rooms, a business center, a gym and patios. A companion parking agreement reserves 225 spaces in the new city garage for the hotel: the uncovered sixth floor, with room for up to 182 stacked vehicles, plus 43 spaces on the fifth floor.
When Will It Open?
The agreement gives the developer 24 months from its effective date to complete the hotel, with one possible six-month extension. The city staff report said the developer intended to finish early, with an accelerated target date of December 2026. HDG Legacy's page says "coming late 2026." Neither source gives an opening date, room rates or a booking link.
