The gross fell about 10%, but the catalog was smaller: OBS says 69 fewer horses were cataloged than in 2025. This year's catalog held 438 yearlings, including 60 supplemental entries. OBS also notes that rain soaked the sale grounds on both days.

Session 1 (Oct. 6): 138 sold for $3,682,000, an average of $26,681 and a median of $20,000, per the OBS Day 1 results. Those totals include post-sale transactions. At the close of business on Oct. 6, OBS had reported 129 sold for $3,525,000.

The highest price came early. Hip 12, a Kentucky-bred bay filly by Girvin out of Jewish Guilt (by Curlin), sold for $190,000 in the first session. OBS lists her as a half sister to stakes winner Unwritten Rule. Her sire, Girvin, died at Airdrie Stud in August.

Glen Hill also sold the second session's second-highest yearling, Hip 311, a bay filly by Oscar Performance out of Aspening, for $100,000 to Gary Barber. OBS's closing report says trainer Mark Casse made the purchase.
