Ocala Shopping Malls and Centers at a Glance

Most of Ocala's large-format shopping sits on SW College Road (State Road 200). Paddock Mall is half a mile east of I-75, and Market Street at Heath Brook is just west of the interstate, so the two are a short drive apart.

Paddock Mall: Ocala's Enclosed Mall

Shopping in Ocala ranges from the enclosed Paddock Mall to open-air centers, downtown boutiques and long retail stretches of national chains and local businesses. Knowing what each shopping district offers makes it easier to pick the right one.

Paddock Mall is at 3100 SW College Road, Ocala, FL 34474. Its directory lists Belk, JCPenney and Macy's as department stores, plus Paddock Market. The mall belongs to CBL Properties, whose property page describes it as the only enclosed shopping center in Marion County, half a mile east of Interstate 75 and across the street from the College of Central Florida. The mall's about page lists the management office at (352) 237-1223 and mall security at (352) 237-1534. It is open Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM and Sunday 12 PM to 6 PM, Eastern time; stores with their own exterior doors may keep different hours. Because it is indoors and air-conditioned, it is the go-to for department-store shopping, back-to-school runs and holiday gifts during Florida's hot or rainy months.

Beyond the department stores, the directory lists national chains such as American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale, Hollister Co., Buckle, Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Maurices, Foot Locker, JD Sports, Journeys, Snipes, Zumiez, Pandora, Kay Jewelers, Zales, Lovisa, GameStop and Yankee Candle, alongside local shops. Other Shopping Centers in Ocala, FL

Market Street at Heath Brook is an open-air shopping center at 4414 SW College Road, on the southwest side of the I-75 interchange. Its directory lists Dillard's, Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes & Noble as anchors, with Old Navy, Chico's Outlet, Soma, Talbots Company Store, DSW, Ulta Beauty, HomeGoods and Kirkland's, and restaurants such as Panera Bread, Mimi's Cafe, Edo Japanese Steak House, Las Margaritas, Shuckin' Shack, Zuru Ramen, Eggs Up Grill and Five Star Pizza. The center lists hours of Monday through Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM and Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM, and individual stores may vary. Epic Theatres of Ocala is next to the center, so dinner and a movie fit in one stop.

Shoppes at Paddock Park is an open-air center at 3101 SW College Road, next to Paddock Mall. With the mall and Gaitway Plaza a little farther toward downtown on SW College Road, this stretch of SR 200 puts several shopping centers and store formats within a short drive of each other.

Beyond these centers, Ocala's retail extends along several corridors. The SR 200 corridor southwest of I-75 has big-box stores, grocery stores and shopping plazas serving the growing communities in that direction. Silver Springs Boulevard on the east side has Six Gun Plaza and other retail, and downtown Ocala offers a different experience with independent boutiques, antique stores, art galleries and specialty shops around the historic square.

Beyond the malls, Ocala's secondhand and specialty scene is strong.
