Ocala Restaurants Open on Christmas Day 2026 (Updated From the 2025 List)

Friday, December 25, 2026: who serves, who closes, and how to confirm before you drive

24-Hour DinersHours Vary by LocationClosed Christmas DayChristmas Eve

On Christmas Day 2026 (Friday, Dec. 25), the Ocala restaurants whose own locators list 24-hour service every day are Denny's at 3801 W Silver Springs Blvd and the five Waffle House restaurants in Ocala. Chick-fil-A closes all of its restaurants on Christmas Day. Starbucks, IHOP, Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel set Christmas hours store by store. Call before driving: holiday hours are posted by each restaurant, not by map apps.

Christmas Day is the one day of the year when most Ocala restaurants go dark, which is exactly why the handful that stay open matter so much to travelers on I-75, hospital staff, families who would rather not cook, and anyone whose oven failed on December 24. This guide lists the Ocala and Marion County restaurants that publish Christmas Day hours or a standing holiday policy on their own websites, grouped by what those pages actually say: open around the clock, hours set by the individual location, or closed for the day.

How this list is built. Hours below are as posted by each restaurant for the 2025 holiday or as a standing policy on the chain's official site and store locator, checked October 11, 2026. The page is updated as restaurants post their 2026 Christmas hours, usually in the first three weeks of December. Only In Ocala does not list a restaurant as open or closed on Christmas Day unless the restaurant itself says so; where a chain says hours vary by location, this page says exactly that.

For the rest of the season, including the parade, Light Up Ocala and WEC Winter Wonderland, see Christmas events in Ocala. For a month earlier, the companion Thanksgiving dining guide follows the same format, and the full Ocala restaurant directory covers the other 364 days.

Listed Open 24 Hours Every Day: Denny's and Waffle House

Two chains in Ocala list round-the-clock hours seven days a week on their own store locators. Denny's location page adds that its restaurants are open 365 days a year, including Christmas Day; Waffle House's locator carries no holiday note. These are the best bets for a Christmas Day breakfast or late dinner in Ocala, with a phone call as the final check.

Denny's
3801 W Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34482(352) 620-8981Open 24 hours (per locator)

Denny's location finder lists its only Ocala restaurant as "Open 24 Hours," with round-the-clock breakfast, take out and online ordering. The FAQ on the same location page says Denny's restaurants are open 365 days a year, including Christmas Day, and advises contacting the restaurant to confirm hours, so a call before heading out on December 25 is still the final check.

Official locator listing
Waffle House (five Ocala restaurants)
4011 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL 34474 (plus four more below)(352) 283-8008Open 24 hours (per locator)

Waffle House's locator lists the SW College Road restaurant with 24-hour dine-in and takeout every day of the week. The other Ocala restaurants on the locator are 22 NW 34th Ave, 34475, (352) 369-0123; 4611 SE Maricamp Rd, 34480, (352) 362-4673; 7660 SW Hwy 200, 34476, (352) 200-2562; and 2065 SW Hwy 484, 34473, (352) 347-0902. The locator posts no holiday notice; each restaurant's own locator page is the place to check on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day Hours Set by the Ocala Location

These chains have confirmed Ocala restaurants on their official locators but do not promise chain-wide Christmas Day hours. Their own pages say to check the individual location, and that is what this guide says too.

Starbucks
Starbucks' own holiday-hours page says some coffeehouses are open on Christmas Day while others are closed, and that open stores usually keep shorter hours, often earlier in the day. The company directs customers to the Starbucks app or store locator for real-time hours at a specific store. Licensed cafes inside grocery stores and hotels follow the host business's hours.
IHOP
IHOP's locator lists two Ocala restaurants: 1124 SW Pine Ave, Ocala, FL 34471, (352) 629-2727, open 6 AM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 6 AM to 11 PM Friday and Saturday; and 11100 SW 93rd Court Rd, Ocala, FL 34481, (352) 291-9486. IHOP's FAQ does not publish a chain-wide holiday policy, so Christmas Day hours are whatever each restaurant posts on its location page.
Golden Corral
Golden Corral's location page for 2111 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL 34474, (352) 690-3020, lists regular hours of 10:45 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday and 7:30 AM to 9 PM Saturday and Sunday. The same page is where the restaurant posts holiday changes (it carried a Labor Day breakfast note in 2026), so it will show any Christmas Day schedule once set.
Cracker Barrel
Cracker Barrel's location page for 3801 SW College Road, Ocala, FL, (352) 854-7870, lists regular hours of 7 AM to 9 PM Sunday through Thursday and 7 AM to 10 PM Friday and Saturday. As of this update the page carried no holiday notice; Cracker Barrel posts Christmas Eve and Christmas Day hours on its location pages in December.

Closed on Christmas Day in Ocala

Restaurants whose own sites state a Christmas Day closure. Most locally owned Ocala restaurants also close on December 25, but they rarely publish a written policy, so they are not listed here unless they do.

Chick-fil-A
Chick-fil-A's customer-support page states that U.S. Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Christmas so restaurant teams can spend time with family and friends; a companion page says the same for Thanksgiving. That applies to both Ocala restaurants on the company's locator: 3445 SW College Rd, Ocala, FL 34474, which the locator listed as temporarily closed as of October 11, 2026, and Chick-fil-A West Ocala, 5048 SW 48th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474, (352) 850-5742, open 6 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday. Both are also closed every Sunday.

Ocala Restaurants That Announce Christmas Hours Directly

Several Ocala restaurants and hotel dining rooms decide on Christmas Day service year by year and announce it on their own websites or Facebook pages, usually in December. None had posted December 25, 2026 hours as of this update. Their regular details are below so readers know who to call; they are added to the open or closed lists above once they publish a holiday schedule.

  • China Lee Buffet

3933 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470, (352) 671-1888. The restaurant's website lists regular hours of 11 AM to 9:30 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 AM to 10:30 PM Friday and Saturday, with no holiday schedule posted.

  • Storming Crab

The Cajun seafood-boil restaurant on SW College Road sets its own holiday schedule and posts it on its Facebook page; see the Only In Ocala guide for its address, phone and regular hours.

  • Stirrups at the World Equestrian Center

The fine-dining restaurant inside The Equestrian Hotel announces ticketed holiday dinners on the World Equestrian Center website when it holds them, and reservations are required when it does; see the Only In Ocala guide for contact details.

  • Hilton Ocala (Arthur's Bistro and Market Kitchen & Bar)

3600 SW 36th Ave, Ocala, FL 34474. Hilton's dining page lists a daily breakfast buffet at Arthur's and lunch and dinner at Market Kitchen & Bar; it does not post Christmas Day hours.

Christmas Eve 2026 and Planning Tips

Christmas Eve Is Thursday, Dec. 24
Most Ocala restaurants open on Christmas Eve and close early. Chick-fil-A's Christmas page says its restaurants are open on Christmas Eve unless it falls on a Sunday, possibly with limited hours, and closed on Christmas Day; December 24, 2026 is a Thursday, so the West Ocala restaurant operates that day. Treat Christmas Eve dinner like a busy Saturday night and book ahead.
Call on the Day
Map apps and third-party listings frequently show regular hours on December 25 even when a restaurant is closed. A phone call, the chain's own locator page, or the restaurant's Facebook page are the only sources this guide relies on, and they are the ones readers should use too.
Groceries: Shop by Christmas Eve
Publix, Walmart and Winn-Dixie publish their holiday schedules on their own sites and in-store signs in December, and none had posted 2026 Christmas hours as of this update. Plan to finish grocery shopping on December 24, when stores typically close earlier than usual.
The Day After
Saturday, December 26, 2026 is a normal business day for most Ocala restaurants, and the week between Christmas and New Year's is one of the busiest for dining out. For December 31 plans, see New Year's Eve in Ocala.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is Christmas Day 2026?+
Christmas Day 2026 falls on Friday, December 25, 2026. Christmas Eve is Thursday, December 24, 2026. Because the holiday lands on a Friday, many Ocala businesses treat December 24 through December 27 as one long holiday weekend, so hours posted for Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas matter as much as the holiday itself.
Which chain restaurants in Ocala are open on Christmas Day?+
The two Ocala chains whose own locators list 24-hour service every day of the week are Denny's at 3801 W Silver Springs Blvd (listed "Open 24 Hours") and Waffle House, which has five Ocala restaurants listed with 24-hour dine-in and takeout. Denny's location page says its restaurants are open 365 days a year, including Christmas Day; Waffle House's locator carries no Christmas-specific notice. A call to the restaurant on December 25 is still the safest check. Starbucks says on its own holiday page that some coffeehouses open on Christmas Day with shorter hours while others close. IHOP, Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel publish regular hours for their Ocala restaurants and post holiday changes on each location page.
Which Ocala restaurants are closed on Christmas Day?+
Chick-fil-A states on its own customer-support pages that U.S. Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Christmas Day and on Thanksgiving. That covers both Ocala restaurants on its locator: 3445 SW College Rd, which the locator showed as temporarily closed as of October 11, 2026, and the West Ocala restaurant at 5048 SW 48th Ave. Most locally owned restaurants in Ocala also close on December 25; those that open usually announce it on their Facebook pages in the weeks before the holiday.
Are grocery stores open on Christmas Day in Ocala?+
Publix, Walmart and Winn-Dixie each publish their own holiday schedules on their websites and on in-store signs in December, and those schedules are the only reliable source for December 25, 2026. As of this update, none of the three had posted 2026 Christmas hours. Shoppers should plan to buy what they need by Christmas Eve, when grocery stores typically close earlier than usual. Pharmacies and convenience stores set their own holiday hours; check the store page before driving over.
What about Christmas Eve in Ocala?+
Christmas Eve 2026 is Thursday, December 24. Most Ocala restaurants open on Christmas Eve, often with an earlier closing time. Chick-fil-A's Christmas page says its restaurants are open on Christmas Eve unless it falls on a Sunday, possibly with limited hours, and closed on Christmas Day; December 24, 2026 is a Thursday, so the West Ocala restaurant operates that day. Diners should treat Christmas Eve dinner like a busy Saturday and reserve or call ahead.
How can I confirm a restaurant is open on Christmas Day before I go?+
Call the restaurant on the day, or check its page on the chain's official locator or its own Facebook page. Third-party listings and map apps often show regular hours on holidays even when a restaurant has closed, which is why this guide only reports what each restaurant publishes itself.
