About the Air Show
The inaugural Wings Over Ocala Florida Air Show (the organizers shorten it to WOOF) takes over Ocala International Airport from Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2, 2027. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels headline, and the team's official 2027 show schedule lists Ocala for May 1–2.
According to the show's September 2026 announcement, the event is produced by JLC AirShow Management of Rome, Georgia, after four years of planning, with the Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau as title sponsor and the airport as host. It is a three-day, festival-style weekend: a Friday afternoon-into-night show, then two full daytime shows.
Friday is the one to pick for the night show. Gates open at 1 p.m. in time for the Blue Angels' final rehearsal flight, jets and warbirds fly into the twilight with lights and pyrotechnics, and the evening ends with a 300-drone show set to music and a fireworks finale. On Saturday and Sunday more than a dozen acts fly, and the Blue Angels close both days.
